Some young children go on to develop separation anxiety disorder. If this condition continues, there is the risk that this condition could proceed, and Extreme Separation Anxiety may become manifest in the infant or child.
Extreme Separation Anxiety.
It is usual for the infant or child, to make it known in some manner, by crying or sobbing, its displeasure when it becomes aware that Mom is going out, or maybe off to work, and that it will be separated. But the child will soon quieten down and happily start playing with its dolls and toys, under the attention of its familiar caregiver.
